Spring Showcase

This is a chance for our youngest dancers to perform in costume without the stress and pressure of production week rehearsals. They will be performing as characters on the same theme as our Spring Production: Night at the Library! It’s also a chance for our Studio Companies to showcase everything they have been working on this season: group competition pieces and self choreographed solos and small groups.

DATE - Sunday, May 3rd at 3pm

SCHEDULE - There are no extra rehearsals involved for the Spring Showcase! That means you can just show up with your dancer dressed and ready to go on Sunday, May 3. Check-in time for dancers is 2:15-2:30pm. Click here to view the Show Order!

LOCATION - We will be performing in the HCH Auditorium, right in our building!

PARKING - Parking is available in the lot on the east side of the building, Ryan St, Quincy St, and neighboring side streets. Please leave the parking area on the North side of the building (Holland St, 3rd floor entrance) for those with mobility issues as that is the only handicap entrance without stairs. Carpooling or dropping off and parking farther away is encouraged.

TICKETS - Tickets must be purchased in advance in our office. Tickets will go on sale the week of April 20! All families of dancers participating in the showcase will be able to purchase up to 6 tickets. Starting April 27, any remaining tickets will be up for grabs.

TIGHTS, SHOES, AND HAIR - Wondering what kind of tights and shoes your dancer needs to wear, and how they should do their hair? Click here for a list of what they need and make sure to get everything in time! We recommend Second Skin Shop for anything you may need to purchase. Dancers may wear a little makeup if they would like, but it is not mandatory.

PHOTOS - We will have a separate photo day on Saturday, May 2, 9:30am - 12:30pm, for our young dancers to have professional class pictures taken in costume. If you would like to purchase individual photos of your dancer, you must pre-order by Thursday, April 30. Pre-order here! Schedule for Young Dancer Photo Day is as follows (dancers must be in costume ready to go by the start of their time slot):

  • 9:30am - Creative Movement 1 (Sat)

  • 9:45am - Mini Hoppers (Sat)

  • 10am - Creative Movement 1 (Wed)

  • 10:15am - Creative Movement 2 (Tues)

  • 10:30am - Creative Movement 2 (Sat)

  • 10:45am - Fundamentals (Sat)

  • 11am - Pre-Jazz/Tap

  • 11:15am - Mini Hoppers (Mon)

  • 11:30am - Pre-Ballet/Modern

  • 11:45am - Fundamentals (Mon)

  • 12pm - Pre-Hip Hop

CLASS ATTENDANCE - Dancers are learning and rehearsing their pieces during class time, so attendance is extremely important right now! After the showcase, we will have one more week of regular classes for our young dancers to wrap up the season, May 4 - 9. Then, we encourage you to attend the Spring Production at the Rozsa Center on May 16 and 17 to support our older dancers!
